With the ECO-Line Ritter-Pen demonstrates sense of sustainability and environmental protection. The pens are made from Bio-plastics based on cellulose developed by the company together with the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT. The cellulose is made from European softwood. The use of regional resources will strengthen the economy of the European market, while benefiting the short transport distances of the Life Cycle Assessment. Compared to other materials made from natural ingredients the special bio-plastics ensure the full functionality of the products - it is heat resistant and crushproof. Despite this high resistance of the material according to DIN EN 13432:2000-12 it is fully compostable. At the same time the organic compound has an exceptional haptics and high density, which gives the writing instrument a special value and pleasant finish. Thus, Ritter-Pen combines sophisticated design with sustainable production. The models Bio-Pen and Bio-Star consist of 80% from renewable and compostable organic material cellulose acetate. Only the frosted mechanism cover and the inner mechanism are made of ABS, to ensure a properly functioning push mechanism. A clean and elegant typeface quality is provided by durable quality refills.
